Parenting: The Biggest Mirror

Parenting is tough. We want our kids to behave; develop them as contributing members to society and also learn how to wipe their butt by a certain age…haha!

But the biggest lesson I’ve learned in this parenting thing…it’s a reflection of my brokenness. While my biggest motivation for parenting was making sure my kids are well behaved, I’ve realized that my parenting is just a mirror.

The more healthy I become, the less jacked up my kids become. When I lose my cool, it’s more a signal of something broken in me than my kids plotting to ruin my day. What’s my goal now: get healthy so my kids stay healthy.
